Meet Sandeep

After graduating as a Mechanical Engineer in 1989, Sandeep arrived at North Carolina State University in Raleigh for his higher education, earning a Master's degree in Integrated Manufacturing Systems Engineering in 1991. He began working as a shop-floor process engineer and moved to the greater Cleveland region in 1994. While working, he completed his MBA at Cleveland State University, taking evening and weekend courses. With a passion for engineering and innovation, Sandeep, along with his wife, started a software development and consulting firm in 1996.
For work, Sandeep was often on the road, but never missed a single game or parent-teacher conference at his children's school.
Sandeep has been part of the greater Cleveland region since 1994 and is actively involved in community initiatives, such as being a member of the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), a board member of the Mayfield Village Parks and Recreation Department, and the organizer of the Mayfield Village Yoga Festival since 2018.
Serving the Indian-American community since 1994, he became the President of its national-level organization representing over 500,000 members across 60 communities in the USA. As President, Sandeep implemented much-needed reforms and programs such as weekend schools for children, a community engagement platform for professionals and entrepreneurs, and essential services for senior citizens.
Sandeep is inspired by his lineage of community leaders. His grandfather gave up a lucrative medical practice in a city to instead serve a rural poor farming population. His grandfather's nephew, a Ramon Magsaysay Award and Templeton Prize recipient, brought social reform to millions in India.
Sandeep believes that we need policies that create opportunities and uplift all people through education, good jobs, and affordable living.
